Measurement Disclaimer

Last updated: July 6, 2026

1. Three ways to size your order

XTailor offers three measurement paths, and this disclaimer applies to each differently:

  • Standard Size — a size chart estimate (e.g. S/M/L or numeric size) for the garment type you selected.
  • Custom Measurements — body measurements and construction preferences you enter yourself, guided by our on-screen instructions and illustrations.
  • Existing Garment — you send us a garment that already fits, which we use directly as our sizing reference instead of any submitted numbers.

2. Standard sizes are estimates

Standard size charts are general estimates based on typical body proportions for that garment type. They are a convenient starting point, not a guarantee of an exact fit for every body shape.

3. You are responsible for measurement accuracy

When you choose Custom Measurements, the accuracy of your finished garment’s fit depends directly on the accuracy of the measurements you submit. We provide guidance (descriptions, help text, and illustrations) for each measurement field, but we cannot verify your measurements in person. Please measure carefully, ideally with help from another person and a proper tailoring tape measure, and double-check each figure before submitting your order.

4. Construction preferences

Choices like collar style, sleeve finish, cuff style, pocket style, and trouser bottom style are followed exactly as selected. If you are unsure which option suits your garment, contact us before placing your order — these become part of your production order and cannot be changed once cutting has started.

5. “Existing Garment” accuracy

For Existing Garment orders, the fit of your new item will closely follow the garment you send us, including any wear, stretch, or shrinkage already present in that garment. Please send a garment that currently fits you the way you’d like your new item to fit.

6. What this means for quality claims

Our Refund & Cancellation Policycovers genuine production defects or garments that don’t match your confirmed specification — it does not cover a fit issue that results from inaccurate measurements you provided, or a construction preference you selected and later change your mind about.

7. Need help measuring?

If you’re unsure about any measurement, contact us at xpresstailorventures@gmail.combefore submitting your order — we’re happy to help you get it right the first time.
