We keep this deliberately short because we deliberately keep our use of cookies and browser storage short. Here is exactly what we use — no advertising or tracking cookies, no third-party analytics cookies.
1. Essential session cookies
We set one of two possible sign-in cookies, depending on who’s signed in. Both are:
- HttpOnly — never readable by JavaScript, which protects them from cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
- Signed (HMAC) — tamper-evident, so they cannot be forged or edited.
- Secure in production — only ever sent over HTTPS.
xtailor_admin_session is set only when a staff member logs into the admin dashboard — customers browsing or ordering as a guest never receive it.
xtailor_customer_session is set only if you create an account and sign in at /account, so you can view your order history and saved details across visits. If you check out as a guest without creating an account, this cookie is never set.
2. Browser storage for your cart and order (not a tracking cookie)
While you shop, your cart and in-progress order (selected design, fabric, measurements, delivery details) are kept in your browser’s sessionStorage — not a cookie, and not sent to any server automatically. This is what lets you move between the Fabric, Measurements, Delivery, and Review steps without losing your selections. It is automatically cleared when you close your browser tab, or when your order is successfully placed.
3. What we don’t use
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No third-party analytics or tracking scripts.
- No cookies that follow you across other websites.
4. Managing cookies
Because we only use essential, functional sign-in cookies and browser storage that exists solely to run the checkout flow you initiate, there is no cookie consent banner on this site — there is nothing optional to opt out of. You can still clear cookies and site storage at any time via your browser settings; doing so will simply sign you out and clear an in-progress cart.
